Conrad Clifton is a Brooklyn-based electronic artist, music producer/composer and photographer. He creates music that is genre fluid - seamlessly blending elements of hip-hop and electronic music. And with a passion for photography, he specializes in portraits, lifestyle and events.
Conrad believes creativity is free flowing, and shouldn't be limited to just one medium. As a music producer, he has film and TV placements with Warner Bros., DC Films, HBO, Netflix, Nike, Starz, MTV, Dr. Martens and more. Winner of the Independent Music Award for BEST DANCE/ELECTRONIC EP, Conrad’s original releases have received support from The FADER, Magnetic Magazine, BBC Radio 1xtra, Kitsuné Musique and others. The collaborative short film 'LAYERS' - for which he starred in and composed the original score - was an Official Selection for the La Jolla International Fashion Film Festival, as well as the Berlin Fashion Film Festival.
Conrad’s photography exhibition, ‘Act Like I’m Not Here’ was premiered at Galerie Kitsuné in Brooklyn NY, and the book is now available in the Infinity Pool Store. His forthcoming full length album, ‘BLUE PERIOD’ has a release date of October 9th on Infinity Pool Recordings.
Artist Goals:
“My primary goal is to build a career and following as an electronic artist (music producer and performer), similar to what KAYTRANADA and Flying Lotus have done. Electronic music is a different space than the hip-hop, r&b and pop genres - done right, it can live in a gray area. Examining their careers, they’ve been able to follow their own unique path, and stay true to their experimental creative direction - while collaborating with top-tier artists (H.E.R, Kendrick Lamar, Anderson .Paak, Tinashe, Childish Gambino, Aminé, and others), bringing them into their own sonically creative world, instead of conforming to a style/sound that the other artist is known for. I need access to a higher-tier of collaborations, the creative freedom to be an artist, and label support (marketing, promotion, tour booking/management, etc.).”
“My secondary goal is to secure more consistent work in the sync licensing space. Specifically in Trailers, Feature Films, TV Sci-Fi Thrillers and Video Games.” - Conrad Clifton
